Our Mission: WBFF provides Black, Indigenous, and People of Color across the Waltham with a safe space to connect, share resources, and create systemic change to eliminate prejudice and discrimination in surrounding communities.
This is an unpaid Internship
About the job: We are searching for someone interested in community organizing and diversity, equity, and inclusion, who wants to get hands-on experience. We are looking for someone who can commit about 4-6 hours each week and can be present during our in-person (limited due to covid-19) and virtual events, and meetings. College credit may be possible if they are in school. We have a fantastic team who is devoted to giving back to the Black and Brown community /
Perfect candidates are:
18+ years old.
Graduated from highschool.
Able to handle tight deadlines/last-minute requests.
Able to receive multiple tasks at once.
Positive, fun, and outgoing.
Knowledgeable and generally interested in Racial Injustice and the Black Lives Matter movement.
Enjoy meeting new people
Is tech-savvy.
Excellent phone communication skills.
Comfortable during Zoom calls with people they might've never met before.
Able to hop on a phone call on the spot.
Comfortable talking to people in-person and on the phone.
Great with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Canva, and Google Docs.
Has access to phone for communication via text.
Not required but a plus:
Knowledge on Hootsuite, Youtube, iMovie, and Jotform.
Laptop
Bi-lingual
Training will be provided.
