DIRECTOR OF ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Waltham Black Future Fund is a growing grassroots community organization dedicated to building an inclusive community. We serve as a collective hub for efforts to eradicate poverty, build generational wealth, celebrate Black Culture, and address systemic issues in our community. We are dedicated to taking a multiracial and community collaborative approach and are building coalitions within the community and surrounding areas.
About this role:
Reporting to Executive Director the Director of Organizational Development provides administrative support, organizational planning/design and works in partnership with committee leaders to respond to inquires, communicate on behalf of WBFF & promote initiatives via weekly newsletters that address goals and strategies. This position provides advice and support aimed at building organization cohesion, health and flexibility.
Responsibilities for Social Media Manager
Manager Executive Assistant and leaderships calendar to include organizing and scheduling meetings on behalf of Executive Director & WBFF
Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing e-mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the executive’s behalf
Prepare weekly newsletter
Organize and manage volunteer inquiries
Attend meetings virtual or in person and prepare agendas & write & organize meeting minutes
Qualifications
Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Understanding and desire of racial justice issues and commitment to community organizing & our mission
High school diploma or GED
Strong written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Familiarity with professional and technical emerging knowledge
Problem-solving skills and ability to multitask
Proactivity and self-direction
